A Bit About What I Do

I’m based near Nantwich, Cheshire where I have my own yard. I cover areas for freelance services in and around Staffordshire, Shropshire & Cheshire. I offer the following services: 

•Lessons

I offer lessons to all ages, with an aim to get the best performance from both yourself and your horse/pony. Lessons are adapted to improve technique, confidence and style in whichever discipline you choose. Riders must have their own horse/pony. I can come to you or anyone is welcome to come and have a lesson at my own yard.

 

•Groundwork

Whether it’s preparation for your youngster to be backed, or you’ve got a horse that needs rehabilitating. I can help with every aspect of working on the ground with your horse, even if it’s just teaching ground manners. 

 

•Breaking/Backing 

I can offer this either mobile or on my own yard (subject to availability) which consists of consistent sessions each week to get your horse/pony backed. I don’t like to rush this process, I always listen to the horse and ensure there’s never a bad experience as I believe the first backing process is the most important. 

 

•Schooling Livery

I’m only 5’4 which means I’m quite versatile so I’m able to ride anything from 13.2hh with no upper height limit. I have experience riding a whole range of horses and ponies, from little native ponies up to competition horses and a whole range of ages from 3-20+. I can travel to you or the horse can come to me (subject to availability.) 

 

•Full/Part Livery

I now have my own yard so I’m able to take horses on full livery. This includes 7/5 day full care, daily groom and rug changes, daily individual or pair turnout, ad-lib hay & straw (or 1 bale of shavings per week) 

 

•Yard Cover/Mobile Livery

I’m available to cover yards whether it’s covering a staff holiday or weekly work. I also offer a mobile livery service if you ever need help with yard duties for your horse/pony I’m available to help, even if it’s just for one! I work time efficiently and to a very high standard. 

 

•BHS Stages Training

I’m BHS qualified so if you’re thinking of taking your BHS Stages, I can help with both the theory and practical sides of the exams. I have access to training books and exercises to get you ready for exam day!
